Concealers are one of the most difficult make up items to use properly. Sometimes the difficulty lies with the person applying the item, but often it is actually the formulation that cause difficulty in proper application to hide dark under eye circles. It’s secret is its formula, which softens when warmed on the hand. Once warmed, a few dots are strategically placed and then blended evenly across any discolorations that need to be hidden. This is much easier than most of the concealer pencils and sticks on the market.

To ensure the concealer melts without liqufying, carnuba wax and beeswax are both blended with the concealer’s pigment. The only draw back that I see with this product is it’s concealer shades aren’t based on undertones, so that the swatches all have a pinkish cast, even with the darkest shade. One way to get around this problem would be to mix a bit of mica or oxide, with each application, which matches your skin’s undertone. This isn’t to say this would be a problem for every user, but it is something to be aware of if you want a seamless transition between dark under eye circles and the rest of the face once foundation is applied.

As is true with most inexpensive cosmetics, Boi-ing Concealer contains petrolatum, to make blending easier, and talc. It also contains citric acid which may be used to slow oxidation as a preservative ingredient and is something to consider if you are allergic to citrus based foods and products.
