Endovenous Laser Treatment also known, as ELT is a minimally invasive laser treatment designed for vein disease such as varicose veins, spider veins, as well as the feeder veins that drain from the scalp in the temple region of the head. Once extended these veins drain down into the eyes and cause dark circles under the eyes.

There are actually three different vein treatments. One is the minimally invasive ELT used to treat large veins normally located under the surface of the skin. In more tender area where skin is delicate, surface lasers are used. Then there is a procedure called sclerotherapy, which is a microinjection in which a solution is injected into the vein ultimately causing shrinkage of the vein.
