Revolutionary advances in eyelid surgery have occurred in the past three to four years which have made it possible to correct Dark Circles under the Eyes using a minimally invasive laser procedure called the Arcus Marginalis Release. I have written a great deal about this exciting new procedure.

Dark Circles under the Eyes are a very common concern in all parts of the world and occur in all races. There are variations in the structure of the cheek bone and eyelid in different individuals, and these variations do require modification of the Arcus Release Procedure for different individuals. Every human face is unique. It is very important, if you are considering surgery to correct dark circles, that you consult a physician who is knowledgeable about these important variations.

One very important message I want to give you is that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some of the most beautiful Central Asian women I have ever encountered in my practice have come to me for correction of dark circles. The darkness under their eyes blends naturally with their skin color and facial features, and in my opinion does not distract from their beauty.

My point is you can look great even with dark circles. For most people dark circles become a problem when the lower eyelid becomes puffy and the bulge in the lower eyelid darkens the shadow underneath the bulge. For some people this happens in their 20’s some in their 30’s and 40’s.
