Wouldn’t it be cool if we can increase our iron intake by only eating “snacks

Previously I’ve wrote a post about how to increase your iron intake to reduce dark circles if you plan not to take iron pills. I mentioned that you can eat vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and potatoes which are high in iron.
However, things get more interesting when I found out that there are much more “stuffs†that we can eat other than vegetables. Vegetables are not the only option. A hunt for “snacks†in supermarket yesterday prompts me to write these.
WoW! Do you know that seeds like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, brazilin seeds, and flaxseeds are really high in iron? Pumpkins seeds and flaxseeds contain 15% and 56% of iron respectively.
I find that seeds are easy to consume as yon can always throw add them your meals or eating raw them as snacks.
Finally please be beware they are also high in saturated fat.
Discuss here if you have any tips to increase iron intake naturally!

I just wanted to let you know that Post Shreddies cereal is really high in Iron aswell. My friend is majorly lacking and I was seaching for an easy way for her to snack and get more iron. The only problems with the shreddies, is that once you make it into a snack (sheddies nuts and fluff etc…) it goes from 50% iron daily intake to 15% per serving. But like I said it is a 1 cup serving or 50g and it has 50% iron. which I was amazed about. Thanks for your idea’s with the seeds I will pass it on.

But seeds can be hard to find, while a lot of fortified cereals are rather sugary.
Also, raisins are high in iron. But they’re a bit sugary, so hmm…
